Our History

FIVE LITTLE DIAMONDS started life on ETSY. Founded in 2011, and with just a handful of vintage items, it has grown to shop it is today.

After a few years building our brand on Etsy, www.fivelittlediamonds.co.uk officially opened in 2014. Now we also sell brands from all over the world, and all of which would make beautiful gifts. We specialize in items and brands you wouldn't necessarily find on the high street- we like to be different!

Five Little Diamonds is still finding its feet. We sell all things retro, whether they are kitsch or flower power. We are as much an adult's store as a child's- toys and home-wares all blending together.

We are a start up business, and have only been trading on our own site for just over three years. However, we have many years experience dealing with antiques and making jewellery to sell at fairs and parties.

Our vintage items focus on mid-century Scandinavian designers- Cathrineholm, Erik Kold, Tomado etc, and also kitsch 1950's ornaments and toys such as Lefton and Edward Mobley. We are more than happy to source items for you, and often do so for our followers on Instagram- our social media of choice. All our jewellery and vintage items can be found in our Etsy shop.

We stock design-led gifts, toys and homewares by Lapin & Me, Tulipop, Miniroom, Dessin Design, Tokidoki and Care Bears, and always have exciting new brands on their way to us.

Hello, my name is Cathy, and I am the person behind Five Little Diamonds. A few years ago I left my job at a major retailer as a Visual Merchandiser to focus on taking care of my four year old daughter Rosina, and also fitting in the time to build my shops look, stock and reputation. Initially I wanted to be an interior designer, and I have a diploma in Interior Design from the National Design Academy. However, I don't know how well I would fare designing rooms that were not to MY taste, so I changed my end goal.

My tastes are definitely not mainstream, I love anything with a cutesy kitsch face, and mix this with something with a bold flower print and I'm in heaven! My aim is now to eventually have bricks and mortar store, selling all the wonderful brands we stock, along with handmade jewellery and vintage homewares, whilst also offering an interior design service if the customer requested it. That way I would know my customers would share the same interior style as me. With the opening of www.fivelittlediamonds.co.uk I am now on my way to accomplishing this dream.

Five Little Diamonds is a UK based online shop, run by myself, and helped sometimes by my daughter Rosina.
